Woodside Home & School sponsors a few Scholastic Book Fairs throughout the school year. The book fair supports literacy and the students are always excited when we turn our LGA into a Themed Mini-Bookstore for a few days! Our November Book Fair gives parents the opportunity to do holiday shopping for students and/or teachers & are welcome to shop the book fair during school hours. The November Fair is special in that it has many holiday gift items not offered on any other fair! One you don’t want to miss!
The Book Fair Committee is always looking for energetic volunteers who can give a few hours during the school day/night to help restock books, setup or take down and help bag or ring up customers. Volunteering at our book fairs is a fun, rewarding and easy way to get involved in the activities at our school. Sign up for multiple shifts and put a dent in your Christmas purchases!
The book fair will occur Monday November 18, 21 and 22. Setup and take down volunteers are needed on November 17 and 22.

Do you have dried out markers at home? Send them in to school with your child! We are collecting dried markers of any type or brand for the Crayola Colorcycle program. They take our used markers and have them transformed into fuel, rather than sending them to the landfill. Students will also be taking dried out markers from the classroom and collecting them in bins around the school. Last year, families and classrooms at Woodside were able to keep around 775 markers out of landfills! If you have markers to recycle, please send them in a Ziploc type bag with your student. Don’t throw out that used marker – Colorcycle it!
What do 775 markers look like? This!
