Parents of 4th Graders: June 5th is going to be a day of looking back, looking forward and celebrating both! From approximately 9:00-11:30 a.m we will have an opportunity to come together as a grade at Woodside for games, yearbook signing, memory making at a photo booth, and a pizza lunch with a fun dessert. After that, the students will board a bus and head to HHS for the Panther Premiere. The event will bring together the 4th grade students from all four elementary schools to play games, watch ComedySportz and begin to mingle together prior to entering Silver Spring Intermediate School next fall. In order to make this day a blast for our kids we are going to need parent help on June 4th with decorations and set-up and June 5th with the planned activities. Please watch for a sign up very soon!
We are excited to announce that Waukesha County Sherriff Deputy Gary Kelly will be the guest speaker at our May 1st meeting. The meeting will be from 6:30-7:45 in the LGA. Rather than several formal, structured meetings led by the board with limited parent participation, Home & School meetings will now be limited to three per year and have a much more informal structure. Each will begin with “Quick Communications” from the board and/or school staff pertaining to high-interest topics for Elementary School parents. January’s topic will be a detailed update on progress and format of the new Intermediate School. This will be followed by an informal, social gathering where parents will be able to ask board members or staff individual questions or simply interact with other parents. Our January meeting (slated for Tuesday, 1/15) will include pizza and beverages provided by Home & School.
