What is Tot Drop?
Would you like to volunteer at school but can’t because you don’t have childcare for your younger child(ren)? Tot Drop is a parent co-op where we help one another with childcare in order to allow us all to volunteer in our older children’s classrooms.
The Tot Drop room is located at Willow Springs School in the LGA. It is a very nice sized room with lots of toys, climbing equipment, riding toys, etc. You do not have to have a child attending Willow Springs in order to participate. As a member of Tot Drop, you are welcome to drop off your younger child/ren whenever you are volunteering anywhere within the district, including going on field trips. While at Tot Drop, your child will be cared for by another Tot Drop parent.
There is a cost associated with the program in order to cover the insurance. That cost will be determined by the number of parents who participate. Last year, it was $40 per family for unlimited childcare for the entire school year. In addition to the cost, each participant must volunteer to work in the Tot Drop room (you can bring your child with you). Typically, this would be a 2-3hr. block of time a few times per month.
